A way to Dimension Roof Slopes
Need a way to show slope info. Could be an option in the angle dimensions (degrees/radians/slope?) or it's own dimension type
In Australia it is regulated in degrees. In addition, suppliers specify minimum recommended slopes in degrees.
A similar feature requiring a minimum drop in degrees is plumbing.
The primary alternate means of expression I have seen is a fractional comparison (1:20, 1:500, etc.).
I think if you can support both of those, it's going to cover most use cases.
@globalcitizen
That's interesting to know that its specified in degrees in Australia, It might make sense for me to keep this associated with the angle dimensions then, as they already display degrees.
Here in Canada the fractional notation is more common (5:12 is a common roof sloop, 1:20 is common for ramps etc.)
Out today but will send some example legislation later.

In Australia, roofs use degrees, but ramps use ratios :) A funny world, isn't it!
As a landscape designer I have been wanting this feature. In the US we tend to think in percent grade. An accessible path is <5% grade. This is of course problematic because it goes to infinity. But it would be nice to have either in the dim style or the units settings a toggle for ratio: 1:20 , percent: 5% , and Degree: 2.86°. Does anyone use radians?
