Please keep in mind that npm is not the only CLI oriented tool on the planet.

Please update your description to something like “Ad blocker for npm command line interface ads.”

I fully support your work, and I’ll be happy to generate a PR in the morning. But this would be a good thing to keep in mind as a general concept.

This module isn't intended to be exclusive to ads in npm.

From the description: "there is no guarantee that there won't be future bad actors in the CLI space, so this repo may still be needed to defend against future bad actors."

As such, blocking other CLI ads from other sources is in scope of this project, if any are identified.

If you can handle blocking ads in CLI sources outside of npm, then I will gladly retract my request!

I'm all for ad-blocking from any and all sources.
