If I let it run, it will exhaust all available RAM.

I've ran in to this as well after updating about a week ago (on manjaro, whatsie is at 4.14.2-1 now). Additionally I can't send new messages anymore either, which worked fine before.

exactly my case since today. It eats about 9GB of RAM, it does not send my posts nor sync new posts. However, today I did not update the app. Whatsapp version 2.2405.4. Whatsie version 4.14.2 from Flathub. OpenSuSE Leap 15.5 with KDE and NVidia graphic board.
