Can't Upload Any Attachments in Whatsie (Ubuntu 22.04)
As per the title, dragging and dropping attachments into the message pane does not add the attachment.
In the case of a JPG, it says "image contained no content", and in the case of other files, the message pane goes blank and nothing else happens. It is necessary to click on a different contact's messages on the left-hand pane to be able to continue.
Using the upload paperclip link doesn't work as the dialogue box is fundamentally broken, only giving a choice of "Computer" or "/" locations. Navigating to "/", then "media", doesn't show any mounts in /media, so for a Linux based OS this is useless.
I am not able to reproduce it with latest version of whatsie.

Hello - thanks for your help. Here's the info, but looks to be the same as yours:

Hope this might help: if I drag a JPG file to the Whatsie window, the message pane clears to a border with broken lines and the wording "Drag file here" in the middle. Some of the time when I let go, that screen stays the same. The picture is never added to a message, and the only way to get back to the message history is either to press ESCAPE or click on a contact in the left hand pane.
On other occasions, the message history reappears and a message bottom left white text on black background says "1 image you tried adding has no content".
I managed to get a screenshot just now of what happens if I click the "attach" icon next to the message composition box (the icon has changed recently to a Plus sign), and then I go to where everything is in Linux, ie. in a /media mount, and as you can see, it doesn't show any of the contents in /media at all. There are several drives mounted in there but they don't show up.
Try snap connect whatsie mount-observe
I had to do "snap connect whatsie:mount-observe" to get it to accept, but /media is still empty when I next launch Whatsie.
The same happens on flatkpak. How can I report it usefully?
