Discussion: Adding .apkg Editing Functionality to genanki

Hi everyone,

I thought to add functions to read/write existing anki decks to the library.

Is this something that others in the community would find valuable? Are there any potential drawbacks to consider? I'm open to any feedback or insights before I dive into coding this feature.
