Can't repro on Gnome, Theme and GHex latest. Is it still relevant?
What do you mean about this ? Please provide more info for your idea. You can use some painting tools like Gimp to make a sketch to illustrate your idea....

This is actually an issue upstream at Gnome. The video is a square, and it's being rendered over the window decorations (not underneath). It will never be fully resolved, and...
