Color highlighting for FrontMatter

Open mattcorr opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

I often use Frontmatter at the start of my Obsidian files. This is useful for the DataView plugin, among other things.

The issue is the keys and values are all the same color. It would be nice if they were configurable so it was easier to tell the difference.

NOTE: This is mostly for source mode, as both edit and display modes render the properties differently.

Just want to +1 this! Would be really useful.

I think this has been addressed with the recently added Properties feature. I get different colours now :)

Hmm, I'm not seeing that. I see all the same color in source mode, using the minimal theme. (Screenshot is with Solarized, but I see the same color of text for the key/value pairs with other color palettes.)

ahh yes in source mode, it is the same colour. I guess I mostly use Edit mode now which displays the frontmatter/properties differently.

I'll fine tune my original request to see if css properties can be defined for the keys and values for frontmatter in Source mode. :)
