Playback gets stuck when interacting with OSX App Menu Bar

Expected results:

Upon interacting with a menu playback would either continue in unabated radtastic beats - or - Pause playback until the menu interaction is blurred then resume the kickass beats.

Actual results:

Playback ceases until a user stops and starts the playback.

PS - Sorry Ken; I had to go and break it...
