You cannot have both the Italic and the Italic-hinted installed at the same time. They have the same names internally and will cause name conflicts - which can cause unexpected...

@psb1558 Another thought... Are you planning submit Junicode v2 to Google Fonts? Because that has some other names, instances, etc., considerations.

LibreOffice on Windows and Linux do now work correctly if the style groups are all OK. Don't know about the Mac now; but the way it did apply its own...

The structure of the style groups in the statics is working as is. So no need to be concerned about that. Just the names are too long. Once the names...

Regarding the abbreviations, usually you do not have to go so extreme as only two-characters. "Junicode" is not real long so you have some leeway to go a little more...
