Month Picker: Feature request

The html input has type month in which one gets a calendar that can select whole months (instead of dates). Can you add this option to your datepicker as well? Futhermore it would be nice if there was an option to open the Year picker first, then month picker, then day picker so someone could easily select a birthday or some other date in the distant past or future.
