Help the project :)
Hey guys,
I recently switched jobs, and a bit busy these days, and for some reason the volume of issues/requests has increased slightly over the last few weeks.
I'm looking for someone to help me manage the repo, verify pull requests, answer some issues? All I can offer is your name somewhere in the readme (and a coffee/beer if you're in Singapore !)
If you're interested let me know, it's actually quite light work to be honest.
Keith
Perhaps @adriaanbd?
Hi @keithrozario, I'd be happy to discuss further, let's continue here or by email? I'd like more info on what the light work entails, for example if there are any workloads to run, logs to check, etc.
@keithrozario I am ready to help you. If you are interested we can have a google meet and discuss more things regarding the repository. You can contact me via my email [email protected]. Hope you will message me soon
Hi @keithrozario, I know I am writing this out of no where but I want to contribute to open source. If you need any help now please let me know. My email - [email protected]
Thanks
Hi @adriaanbd @ksdkamesh99 @Amitdey13 I'm so so sorry for not replying earlier, I must have missed my notifications on this issue.
If you're willing to help, I have 3 items on the to-do:
- A GUI website for users to choose a package and region and get the latest layer arn. The website would call the API.
- A Python Package that allows for user to directly import the latest layer version into their CDK stacks (only Python).
- Tidy up the documentation
I'm drafting the RFC for (1) and (2) ,but happy to take any help.
Keith
Hi @keithrozario, Love to help for (1) or (2), how can I proceed.
Thanks
I'm writing some docs for (2), for (1) let me create a blank repo for you to start with, and from there you can start making the website, nothing to fancy, just a simple query with drop downs etc.
Which would you like to do first (1) or (2)
@keithrozario, I would like to do (1) first.
Thanks
Cool. I would say just go for it. Create a new repo, and then I'll figure out a way to deploy into my AWS account. Just make sure it's pure JavaScript which connects to the API. Let me know once the repo is created :)
