I don't use VAssistX ( I did in the past when I coded a lot more C/C++), however your options are

Don't bind ALT-J and ALT-K, they are just there to avoid reaching for arrow keys

OR

Rebind VAssistX to not clash with those combos

OR

find another combo that works well with VAssistX Shift-Alt-<J/K> or Ctrl-Alt-<J/K> perhaps, though starting to get a bit more awkward
