You might use CMU dict for English phonemes and Chinese Pinyin for Chinese phonemes, as follows: image

A late comment, but see if it may help someone later on.

What you are looking for is Code Switching feature. If you would like to make changes to Keith's implementation, you need cleaners for Chinese and maybe other languages. Search for Code Switching Tacotron and see if the newer implementation helps.
