Enhancement: CPU and FPU burn test, IDE test

Hello,

thanks for this nice software. I think it'd be nice to have CPU and FPU burn tests like on popular PC test suites like OCCT, Prime95, etc.

I think software should ask for how many runs to do with the option of "forever" too so one can leave the Amiga "burning" for some hours and be sure it doesn't have anything bad.

An IDE test would also be very nice considering the IDE adapter on A600/A1200 is quite picky on what CF cards / adapters it can work with, ESPECIALLY on A600 with Furia accelerators.

IDE Test: I have always just booted a CF card to Workbench. I'm not sure ATK could be much better or faster than that?

Hello Keir,

well, IDE is tricky, sometimes it seems to work but it really doesn't. Other than specifying wrong max transfer in hdtoolbox (for example) there are a lot of issues with some CF cards which don't work or for example IDE problems on Furia on Amiga600 which requires short cables or no cables at all because IDE channel on A600/A1200 is not buffered.

In these situations the system will boot fine most of the time, you will even be able to install Workbench but after minutes of usage (sometimes it's harder and you get random crashes very seldomly) you will get random crashes until you find a compatibile setup.

I recently bought an Amiga 1200 (have four now) from Amibay, 2B revision, very nice, but it was very picky with CF cards: the first i tried i could installed Workbench 3.2 just fine and all SEEMED to work until i booted the installed Workbench and got random crashes. I substituted the CF (twice) and it now works perfectly 100% stable (at least how stable an Amiga system can be :-) ).
