MacOs: can't get to settings screen after last update

Open svezg opened this issue 1 month ago • 6 comments

Description When trying to change a setting (want to adjust timeout) I can't get to settings screen

How to reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. open Keepassium (pro) and unlock
  2. in menu bar or keepassium window select settings
  3. Keepassium locks right away and setting screen does not appear
  4. full close does not make a difference

Expected behavior get settings screen and make a change

Screenshots not really relevant I think

Environment:

  • Device: Macbook pro M3
  • OS: MacOS 26.1
  • App Version: 2.4

Yep, this is a bug. V2.4 does a better job at detecting when the app loses focus, so we changed the default app protection timeout to 60 seconds and removed the "Immediate" option altogether. But forgot to increase the timeout if it is already set :(

As a workaround, reinstall the app (together with its settings container). The fix is coming in a few days.

Clear; the app indeed locks immediate and I wanted to change that; if the fix will be there is a few days I'll wait for it. Thanks for this quick reply!

Yeah, so I keep hearing… Apparently, the fix was not enough. Try to reinstall the app, this would definitely be faster.

As always thanks for you quick reply, reinstalled after full app clean and it looks as I would expect again :-) Going to look if behaviour stays as it should and then close this bug

Right after re-installation it worked, no immediate lock and I could set time out to 2mins :-) Now, two days later, immediate lock again when another application has been used and can't get to settings screen due to immediate lock.
