Right, it shouldn't be used. But rather than a 404, it might be more helpful to someone visiting that link if it redirected to an explanation that /v1alpha1 is just an API version ID -- possibly referencing https://kubernetes.io/docs/reference/using-api/#api-versioning? WDYT?

That's OK for me, but personally wouldn't spend much time on it given 404 is correct as well.

Otherwise we will have rules for all these scenarios
