Notes Screen Enhancement
A few years ago i added a "notes" screen to the Google Code version of Shortyz. I emailed about adding this to the main branch, but didn't receive a reply. I'm making an issue here to ask if it's worth my time updating it to the latest version of Shortyz and making a pull request.
The idea is that for each clue you can go to a notes screen where you can test out solutions, add hypthothesised letters, make general notes, and solve anagrams. I find this useful when solving cryptic crosswords.

At the time development of Shortyz seemed abandoned. I notice today that it has continued here. I am willing to port my implementation of the notes screen to the new version if a pull request would be accepted.
