I don't exactly see that as a disadvantage, given an independent repo already exists at https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/kb1000/multimc/ (and supports the distros you listed) Having it in a common third party repository...
MultiMC does not update Technic Solder packs on each run as of right now either. Besides that, the Technic Platform is generally a mess, IMO.
