The test program uses wrong methods. One should use either read_coils or read_discrete_inputs and the test program tries both.

Won't be implemented. Flakiness seems a hardware problem.

SAT-SMART driver is causing major problems for the USB subsystem in 10.13.6

They might have changed the hardware, but used the old USB id.
