Traverse dired history in Emacs

#+title: dired-hist

=dired-hist= is a minor mode for Emacs that keeps track of visited dired buffers and lets you go back and forwards across them. This is similar to the facility provided in other Emacs major modes, such as Info, help and EWW.

To use it, bind =dired-hist-go-back= and =dired-hist-go-forward= to suitable keys and turn on =dired-hist-mode=.

#+BEGIN_SRC emacs-lisp (require 'dired-hist) (define-key dired-mode-map "l" #'dired-hist-go-back) (define-key dired-mode-map "r" #'dired-hist-go-forward) (dired-hist-mode 1) #+END_SRC

=l= and =r= are the defaults for =info-mode=, =help-mode= and =eww=, as well as for external packages like =pdf-tools=.

The code is very simple (under 50 lines). There are no customization options yet.
