faster mouse scroll zoom

While zooming in is possible, it is cumbersome because when doing a "full scroll" (maximum extension of the finger over the mouse wheel), it takes me 6 such steps to get to the highest zoom level from the lowest one. I would say that the zoom factor should be changed at least twice as fast (in 3 "full scroll" steps from min. to max. zoom) and there's probably a reason why Google Street View zooms in from min. to max. zoom in less than 2 "full scroll" steps.

Technically, I imagine this is a really simple thing to change: it's just a matter of choice of scroll speed. Please make it faster. :)
