report sequence feature

Open rmikke opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Openstreetcam really needs "Report sequence" feature. I have found a road that has been rebuilt and there is no way to mark the sequence taken on the old road as wrong (out of date in this case).

You can find a link to example obsolete sequence in #281

I personally quite like the historical aspect of openstreetcam, I can go back and view areas before buildings that obscure others were built, what's wrong with the old imagery being still present?

These photos are used for quality assessment In OSM - see pic4review. Also they can be seen in JOSM and iD and used for QA.

The problem I see with it is that the users then see only photos, not sequences with metadata. So, how do I know if the photo is not up to date?

OK, there is some value in having historical photos as well. So maybe instead of removing a sequence there should be a way of marking it obsolete and change the API so that it would be possible to import photos from current/obsolete/all sequences?
