Did anyone successfully run this on Windows?

I am not abe to install lua on windows. I have CUDA and cuDNN set up on my Windows 10.

I used to run Torch on Windows (like six months ago, but have not tried GPU, only tried windows torch on CPU). I followed all the instructions here: https://github.com/diz-vara/luajit-rocks

You may try it and if possible let us know whether this is working on your side.

Thanks @hohoCode. Another thing is that have you tried NeuralTalk (the earlier version). Did you use it with GPU? How fast was it? In my case one batch is taking ~5 seconds.

Unfortunately not yet with NeuralTalk.

@hohoCode Okay. So, how was your experience with the NeuralTalk2? Was it reasonably fast on CPU?

@hohoCode I am having issues in installing from that repo. luarocks install torch gives errors. I have the installation output here. Did you face any such issue?

@apanimesh061 I did not have those errors (but that was like six months ago). I am not sure if this has anything to do with recent backend THNN updates. I would ask diz-vara (the repo author of the Torch windows installation) for help. Hopefully in the end things can be installed on your end. BTW torch on windows is reasonably fast.
