Interesting. Looks like this would need a lot of experimentation though, to establish what the "valid" preferences are. Probably just letting the users set anything they want would result in...

I would add some additional requirements: - It should be possible to _hide_ courses. Currently we have courses that are part of the build system but are not visibly linked....
