.html file not supported by Anki in Import File feature

Open Nightwindx opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Hello,

I am using the following version of Anki: Version ⁨23.10.1 (fac9e0ee)⁩ Python 3.9.15 Qt 6.6.0 PyQt 6.6.0

I am not sure how you did it in the video on YouTube, but Anki does not support importing ".html" files to turn them into flashcards, at least for my version of Anki. Please help on the matter. The software is very effective, but it cannot be used if this is the case. Please add support for converting notes to .txt files instead of .html.

Thank you!

Hi there.

The latest Anki version depreciated support for html files import and instead only does txt files. I've updated Ankify to support that. You'll have to select "tab" when you import as the field separator. Everything else should stay the same.
