Steps to reproduce

I can't use the latest versions of the ChatControl plugin on any 1.8.8 fork. I have reported this issue to you before, and you mentioned that it is related to the PandaSpigot API. However, it seems like this is something you need to fix. I'm tired of putting my server into maintenance mode just to test your plugin. There are too many servers, and having to repeat this process on multiple servers only to get the same result is extremely frustrating. I would appreciate it if you could investigate the issue more closely and provide a solution because this is not the only problem I’ve encountered with this plugin.

We're using libby library resolver and it appears to cause jar hell in Java since we are loading a newer version of Adventure initially but it apparently uses the older version afterwards.

I'll see if I can relocate this.

Apologizes for the frustrating issue and my delay, I fell sick after returning home.

I cannot unfortunately reproduce this as PandaSpigot's latest release I believe has already updated the Adventure library:

The issue ought to be resolved upstream because legacy server is not supposed to ship third party libraries, but if it does, it should correspond to the version (or greater) to the current server version (1.21). That is just a technical limitation and would be very complex to fix - all of my plugins are open source so contrs are welcome, but I recommend you give that version a shot as it appears to be working ok there.
