compensate for wires voltage drop
Hello guys,
is it possible to use a DPS power source and add a feature sw and hw to compensate for the voltage drop on the wires ? the case is when it's being used to charge batteries with a high enough current that produces a voltage drop. Would it be possible to add 2 extra thin wires to measure the voltage at the end of the thick wires and compensate by increasing the voltage until the desired voltage is delivered at the end of the thick wires ?
not sure if opendps includes a feature to count the Wh delivered, this would also be needed when charging batteries.

I would recommend reaching out to whoever might still be maintaining this project on a separate branch, see https://github.com/kanflo/opendps/issues/249.
I think this is a calibration issue. But ideally instead of compensating in software, you'd better separate the sense wires and lead them outside. I considered doing this myself, however I could not identify these wires on the PCB and didn't want to risk anything.
