I couldn't connect to ZKTeco K40 fingerprint attendance device? Any Reasons?

I want to develop a web app for the fingerprint device ZKTeco K40. I am getting reply from ping 192.168.1.102. But Test.php is not working. Device Serial No. 9000680323058 Firmware Version. 4.0.1(build 82) I am using xampp apache server. In localhost Test.php just keeps loading but nothing shown.

Can you check the port 4370? Use

telnet 192.168.1.102 4370

Thank you for your reply. Telnet command is jot recognized by my computer. And about Port address, my device doesnot have option to change number. Can you help me?

Do you use Windows? You can search on internet how to enable "telnet" command.

ok, i enabled telnet and tried above command. I got blank display as show in picture and cannot get data using test.php But my device seems restarting when telnet command closes.

Ihave the same problem, i trie php, java python and nothing work with my zkteco wl30 :(

Please send me ([email protected]) the pcapng (wireshark) when you connect to the ZKteco with the official software. I'll try to figure out what has changed. (filter the capture with ip == IP_ZKTECO so you won't send personnal information)

this k40 is real headache.

These new machines don't allow telnet into them. Think of it this way, if you cannot configure the device via web browser then this library might not work for you. You could try https://github.com/dnaextrim/php_zklib although seems like it's not maintained anymore.

I used this package, and its connecting the device, I guess there is a problem with library https://drive.google.com/u/0/uc?id=1dMv5oMx86BVtmH0cYWiNZfdtclY2uo2X&export=download

I then install drivers from it then it worked fine
