[Feature request] - Input date range or Prev/Next period

At the moment we are limited to a fixed period but more often then not i find myself needing a way to change period of the data.

It would be great if we could hade a input for from and to date and trigger a update, then it would be possible to have buttons for previous and next period, it would also be neat if the control could then tell active period based on the group_by value, for instance, week, month etc.

IE, have control of the daterange either externally or internally in the control have prev/next period controls.
