Use attribute for x-axis?

Open Inrego opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Hi. I'm loving this card. However, I'm having a small issue with a few of my graphs. I get energy usage reading into a sensor, but the data is 2 days delayed. So my energy usage for sept. 5 will arrive in the sensor on sept 7. The sensor has an attribute metering_date for when the reading was done.

I would love to be able to use this attribute as my x-axis, because right now my graphs are showing wrong dates (skewed by 2 days).

Could be a useful feature: use an attribute of a sensor as a time-scale.

The time-scale would be appreciated.

I have the exact same issue/request. FYI this is quite typical for utilities in the States. Their "realtime" meters are at best a few hours delayed but often 1-2 days delayed. Of course, if you can get your own data by installing a local sensor on the meter itself it can be solved (i,.e. you will get true realtime data) but in many apartment buildings it isn't allowed or is expensive. So many people rely on the data from utilities which are severely delayed.
