Featured image in browser previews is profile photo

Actual behavior

When posting a link to a blog post in Facebook, for example, the Facebook (or other website)-generated preview image ends up defaulting to the profile photo.

Notice how the article in question has a featured header image, and there's the site background, and yet the preview websites tend to generate still is the profile photo.

Expected behavior

I'd expect this preview image to be the featured or header image on a page or post if there is one, or if there isn't one, default to the background image, not the profile photo.
