Mobile Version of Proxy
I don't know whether or not this is a reasonable request...but the idea of a mobile version of the proxy is very cool. To explain, I mean running the proxy on an additional mobile device and connecting your SW device through the second device the same as you would a PC. I play two accounts on a pair of old galaxy phones and often hotspot my main phone (nexus) and connect the two SW devices through my main phone's broadcast network. It would be cool to be able to run the proxy on my main (hotspot) device to capture the data of the two SW devices.
But that would leave the json files on your phone.. besides.. your nexus phone would need to be rooted for an app to open a port... besides.. there is no app for rune optimizing on the phones.. and web version is... well.. slow :P
Well, the win10 optimizer app isn't the only reason to use the proxy. I can see a lot of benefit for a mobile version. Generating the JSON files is the important part, not where they end up. A lot of people still upload packet captures to swarfarm because they can't or won't use the proxy for various reasons.
Speaking for Android only, there are methods for intercepting traffic that do not require root. The tPacketCapture app uses a virtual VPN connection.
No no, obviously, I use swarfarm too.. but I don't see what the benefits are of the mobile version when is much much easier to run the proxy on PC..
Is not that hard to run the proxy, it doesn't even need installation.. download, unzip, disable firewall and run... setup your phone and bam! done..
Besides, this would be Android only, as Apple would never let this app to go into the App Store..

@knifesk well, one of the many reasons for running it on your phone is, like the OP said, if you use your phone as a hotspot. Some people don't have wifi and only use their phones over 3G (in which case proxy with the PC won't work). Also, in some cases, you may not have a PC handy, only your phone or tablet (such as when you're travelling for example, or simply not at home, or if you're at the office where you can't disable the firewall, etc..), and in that case, you may want to get the data without having to use the proxy on a PC. Either way, I'm not volunteering for doing that because I don't do mobile development (and not interested in it). If someone else volunteers, then great! In the meantime, I'll keep the issue open.
