YouTube notification issue

When clicking on the notification icon, all I get is a message that says "opening..." and the message UI opens. Oddly enough, the notification UI in Google Plus works just fine.

This is on the "default" blocking setting. screen shot 2016-01-25 at 13 25 09

Tested on: Safari 9.0.3, OS X 10.11.3.
