Not installable under MacOS Mojave

Open tdegrunt opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

Hello,

This seems great and I would like to use try it out. I've followed the installation instructions for Mac, but under macOS Mojave they don't seem to work.

You can select the keyboard layout, but does not activate.

Any suggestions or hints?

Cheers, Tom

Totally not relevant for this, but I ran Carpalx on the keyboard layout, this is the output: https://gist.github.com/tdegrunt/80e63f464c9a1c336e0f1d4e6aa201a8

I used it for a year under Mojave. I switched my keyboards to Halmak via hardware profiles last week.

I had to install it, reboot, add it to my available layouts, and then reboot again, but after that it worked for me under Monterey 12.3. I also had to put the bundle in ~/Library/Keyboard\ Layouts/ rather than the global one.

I have ongoing issues using the bundle - not being able to select the keyboard layout (solidly now on Mac OS Ventura), and (previously) the layout changing automatically away from Halmak in some applications.

I am now using the Karabiner mappings on my internal laptop keyboard, and that works well.
