Styled Boxes Block

Open shazahm1 opened this issue 5 years ago • 3 comments

I use the Striking theme and it comes with a few predefined styled boxes. I know this can already been done with a single column Row block, but it would be nice to have a Styled Boxes block with a few predefined styles to choose from with an optional color picker.

Here's the link to their demo page so you can get a better idea of what I asking for:

Cosmic Blocks: Inline Notice Block seems to have what I'm looking, featurewise!

Hey, Thanks again for posting.

I don't know that I will be adding this block. Mostly because I'm trying to approach blocks as tools, and prebuilt content as prebuilt content. So adding some prebuilt content that outputs those exact styles is certainly possible and very easy to accomplish.

The benefit of this is that you get all the added controls of using the row/layout block and internal blocks so you can style exactly how you want without being limited to a single blocks styles.

Cool either way works for me ... though, you should really take a closer look at the Cosmic Blocks: Inline Notice block. I was able to use a combination of Row (2-col), Icon, Heading and Paragraph blocks to get close but it was a pita. Not the fault of Kadence! trying to select just the right block in Gutenberg is the pita so you can adjust the right settings With "complex" layout like this, if it were not for the Block Navigation it would be aggravating. Hmmm... just occurred to me... maybe I should build a collection of Reusable blocks for my styled boxes.
