Volume control in background

I am a lazy android user who almost never close an app. I let it suffer in the background until the system close it. However last time I have an issue with squeezer when it is in the background, and I watch a movie on my phone, the volume control is still intercepted by squeezer. This is annoying for me, because I can't control the volume of the movie, but also for the rest of the house since players are changing volume unexpected.

After restoring the volume and properly closing the app everything returns to normal.

If this is on purpose, please add an option to disable this.

I think we already have an option for that. If you don't want the volume buttons to work in the background, open the now playing screen, and bring up the volume wheel via the up arrow in the lower right corner. Then select the volume settings button in the top left of the volume wheel. Here you can deselect to change volume in the background. Hope this helps
