adding my personal points on the map

I want to not only watch but also edit and add my points to the map. can I add the ability to create new points?

editing location files (kml or gpx) is not implemented. you can use https://f-droid.org/packages/net.osmand.plus for this:

Added places can be exported to gpx files that locationmapviewer can read

it's not possible right now, but you may want to expand the functionality in the future
