xiaomi mix2 long press home not work

Hi @ananas-xxj , Xiaomi devices allow for customization of the home button, did you try already with hints on the following page?: https://github.com/jwisniewski/android-developer-assistant/wiki/How-to-setup:-common-problems#xiaomi.

I have plans to introduce an alternative method of starting the Assistant, it would avoid a requirement of long pressing the Home button.

Thx, it is work after i set the home button to google assistant. Very weird, it may be that i upgraded the miui. but, I am looking forward to your alternative method.

I will close this issue, after the alternative method of invoking the assist app will be available. It's still not here. In recent updates however, the wizard which helps to setup the assist app correctly, has been improved a bit. I hope it will be easier now to handle special cases related to various manufacturers of Android devices.
