Adding in ability to templatize sub directories and unit tests

Adding on to a previous enhancement to allow for using directories the ability to use sub directories when using templates as well as some basic unit tests around the use of templates

@jwilder was just using and noticed that it could only go one directory deep. Could we do this/update it to allow that?
