thank you I could download the pane. Unfortunately it does not work: it says the server is stopped but is working and any control is grayed out.
Ah. I see. It sounds like it's related to issue #1 where it's failing to find the pg_ctl executable. I'll post a fix for that later today.
The newest version, 0.0.2 should resolve the issue of not finding the pg_ctl if it was properly installed with HomeBrew.

Hi,
I am sorry but when I click the button it does not do anything: the server is already started but it show that the server is stopped (red text). I installed Postgres from the dmg download from the official web site.

Ah. That's why. Can you do me a favor and do a "which pg_ctl" in the Terminal and send me the path?
$ which pg_ctl /usr/local/bin/pg_ctl

I'm having the same issue - I have /usr/local/bin/pg_ctl which I got from HomeBrew but the Preference Pane is disabled when I open it (both the 'Start' button and the checkbox). I'd love to be using this - please help!
