[Feature Request] Add desktop support

Support for Linux, macOS, and Windows would be nice to have. If I can help in any way please let me know. I'd love to contribute.

Gonna look into it, thank you so much! Was thinking about using FFmpeg to generate a thumbnail, I'll look around what the best options are tho.
