Once which-key popup is triggered via which-key-show-early-on-C-h all delays are ignored afterwards

After manually triggering the pop-up inside a key-chord using the show-early-on-C-h binding, afterwards there is no more delays, all pop-ups are instant. This is very annoying.

OS: Debian 12 Emacs version: 27.1 Which-key commit hash: 8093644032854b1cdf3245ce4e3c7b6673f741bf

This seems like a bug. Can you give me steps to reproduce (including a basic configuration file)?
