Yes, the Jest builder will support ESM. However, it's not a small task so it will require some time.

Maybe OS? What's your local system and what system are you using in CI?

You don't need to define this whole config yourself (the preset, the setup files from the preset, mocks for localstorage etc.). The builder does it for you. Only add parts...
