window size follows *zoomed* image size
Hi, just switched to qView from Xee, loving it so far!
I was wondering if it would be possible to have the window frame around an image follow the size of the image when zooming. It would still respect a minimum/maximum window frame size, after which further zooming either:
- introduces a black frame around the image (when zooming out)
- crops the image at the window frame border (when zooming in)
Thanks for this amazing app!
Yes, this should definitely be possible.
Not sure if this is related: But the keyboard shortcut for "window > zoom" doesn't work on osx if you set one. Preview.app as an example of how this works.
I guess the setting option could be added in the Preferences under: "Window matches image size" --> "Always"
@thysultan I don't understand, how are you able to select a shortcut for window -> zoom, and what exactly is window -> zoom? @lorenzofanchi That is an excellent idea.
System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App shortcuts

@thysultan That issue should be resolved by this one: https://github.com/jurplel/qView/issues/233
It is currently possible through the non-shortcut method of zooming the window but it expands to fullscreen(width/height) with the black background taking up the reset of the horizontal space in contrast to Preview.app that expands the image to the fullscreen(height) but keeping the ratio dimensions of the image.

@thysultan and that behavior should be possible with https://github.com/jurplel/qView/issues/268
I've given this it's own issue: https://github.com/jurplel/qView/issues/284
I use Xee only for this reason. Pinch-to-zoom image along with window.
Yes, please. This is the only feature I need!
@jurplel and please make it the default behavior. Most people want this behavior. They hate when the window doesn't get bigger along with the image.
+1, this feature would be great to enhance usability
