[Request] Use Overlay Color for Showcase
Is there a particular reason why the Showcase doesn't use the overlay color for it's vignette? It seems a bit odd when the rest of the skin does.
Because it doesn't have an overlay - it only has a vignette. Overlay is combo of a coloured overlay spotlight and a vignette. It isn't blurred either if blur is enabled. The point is to have something which shows off fullscreen fanart.
That's why there's both the showcase hub and submenu hub. Showcase is an extension of the fullscreen widget, and submenu hub is an extension of the library style.
Also, you've got to remember that the skin is designed primarily with blur being enabled in mind. Overlay/Vignette are just after additions - I make sure that they don't have bugs, but there are never going to be specific design considerations made for them -- the approach to them is always going to be just replacing where blur was previously.
My most recent "build" is using "Overlay" with an Overlay Color set... is it not the "same" effect as Vignette, but colored?
Also, regarding the Showcase... is there anywhere where the title of the widget content could be shown? I use an AutoWidget there, but there's not a place for the widget label as far as I can see.
