Integrating jupyterlite

Hi,

Using this project in jupyterlite seems to render the repo/notebooks readonly and we can't launch a new notebook. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue? https://knc6.github.io/slmat/

It works fine without it: https://deepmaterials.github.io/slmat/

It looks like this is the same issue as the one reported in JupyterLab https://github.com/jupyterlab/jupyterlab/issues/15629?

Should we close this issue in favor of https://github.com/jupyterlab/jupyterlab/issues/15629, since the fix would have to land in JupyterLab?
