large output: breaking rather than freezing

If running a request outputting a long response in the qtconsole or spyder console, it freezes and the whole window is unresponsive. This is not dumb-proof.

With ipython in a normal Windows console, the execution can be stopped with a simple CTRL+C.

It can be tested with the following "dumb" request in the three consoles: bytes(100000)

ideally, it would be nice if it can catch KeyboardInterrupt.
