Thanks @ajinkyaspatil20 for working on this and opening the PR.

As mentioned in https://github.com/jupyter/notebook/issues/7682#issuecomment-3133356772, it looks like this would be the kind of feature that can directly be implemented in JupyterLab. Since Jupyter Notebook uses the same notebook component as JupyterLab, the feature would then be available in Jupyter Notebook too.

Would you like to give this a try and open the PR in the JupyterLab repo instead? Thanks!
