Cannot select multiple cells anymore

Since recently I cannot select multiple cells anymore with 'Shift + Up' or 'Shift + Down'. The selection just moves to the upper/lower cell. The same happens with 'Shift + K' and 'Shift + J'.

I use Arch Linux and tried this on Firefox and Chromium.
