Update job definition parameters

Problem

Parameters of a job definition can be modified (overridden) when running a single job from a job definition via the following button

But as far as I know, it seems impossible to update these parameters when editing a job definition...

Is this feature deliberately blocked ?

Additional context

If this feature were implemented, it would be great to update the corresponding API call.
